BIOGRAPHY

Yusaku Mizushima began his career under the guidance of Yusuke Suga,
one of the most prominent Japanese figures working on the international stage in New York at the time.

During his student years, Mizushima encountered Beautiful Hair by Yusuke Suga.
This pivotal experience led him to recognize Suga as a figure of genuine
international stature,
and to choose him as his master and guiding figure.
Determined to learn not only technical skills but also aesthetic sensibility,
a philosophy of life, and a professional attitude toward work,
he resolved to pursue a path in the world of beauty.

While Suga operated his own beauty salon, SUGA SALON, in New York,
he also served as Director of STUDIO-V, the beauty salon of the HANAE MORI Group,
the Paris haute couture maison founded by Hanae Mori.
Mizushima trained under Suga at STUDIO-V, working closely under his direction,
and through continuous hands-on experience at the forefront of the industry,
he established the aesthetic foundation and professionalism
that would become the basis of his own creative expression.

Suga was widely known for his work alongside legendary photographer
Richard Avedon,
including cover shoots for VOGUE USA,
and was an active presence at the forefront of international fashion, beauty,
and the world of celebrities.
